The story about St. Patrick

The 17^th of March is St. Patrick’s Day. St. Patrick lived a long time ago in Ireland. Here you can check out his story.

St. Patrick was born in Scotland in the year 387. His mother and father were Romans.

When Patrick was a young boy, Irish raiders took him to Ireland as a slave. In Ireland, Patrick became a Christian.

Later, Patrick went to Britain. He became a priest and then a bishop. Then he went back to Ireland to teach the Irish about God. He used the shamrock to explain the Holy Trinity. He built lots of churches.

St. Patrick died on the 17^th of March 461. That’s why people in Ireland celebrate St. Patrick’s Day on this day.
